It was a beautiful day for some baby announcement family portraits over at the McKee-Beshers sunflower fields. It was scorching hot outside, but we powered through the heat and got some adorable images anyway! Enjoy some of my favorites from the day!

S’mores
Some family came to visit a few weekends ago and we took advantage of the great weather by sitting by the campfire and enjoying some delicious s’mores. They were so good, I can’t wait to do it again soon! Who knew that there was a campground just 30 minutes outside of D.C.? If you can’t get time to travel far, but have the itch to camp, be sure to check out Cherry Hill Campground in College Park, MD. If you like these pics, be sure to check out the video I put together here.
Visit to the Zoo | Washington D.C. Family Photographer
Went to the National Zoo today with my Aunt Nor and cousins, Taylor and Baley. It turned out to be a great day of warm weather and lots of walking. 15,000 steps to be exact (thanks to Taylor for the hourly pedometer updates!) Here are some favorites from the day!
I overheard the zoo lady ask some kids, “Did you know pandas eat for 60 hours straight?!” I shared the fun fact with my aunt who said, “How is that even possible?” “I don’t know,” I replied, “but it must be true because the zoo lady said so and that panda bear is sure going to town on that bamboo.” Then she said it again. 16 hours straight. Still a lot, but not nearly as impressive as when I thought it was 60 ;)
It’s a red panda in a tree! These guys are so cool!
Do you see it? I see it! Where? Over there! No, that’s a rock. Hehe. Sometimes I think they just make empty exhibits to trick us into staring at it for hours convincing ourselves we see something ;)
Finally home from Afghanistan! | Washington D.C. Family Photographer
This post is definitely overdue, but I’m still very excited to share! Mike spent a year in Afghanistan and his family was so excited to see him finally return home safe and sound! Here are some of my favorites :)
Other friends and coworkers came to welcome him back too, including this little cutie who made this adorable welcome home sign!
Mike’s wife and son were decked out in red, white, and blue, and had flags to wave and “Daddy Dolls” to carry!
How cute is this! He saw him and just started running!
And this is just epic….
