Some family came to visit a few weekends ago and we took advantage of the great weather by sitting by the campfire and enjoying some delicious s’mores. They were so good, I can’t wait to do it again soon! Who knew that there was a campground just 30 minutes outside of D.C.? If you can’t get time to travel far, but have the itch to camp, be sure to check out Cherry Hill Campground in College Park, MD. If you like these pics, be sure to check out the video I put together here.
I’m so excited to finally share some of my favorite images from Gabe and Heather’s engagement session! We met up at the National Harbor in Maryland and had a ton of fun despite the cold weather and the wind!
Update! See their gorgeous wedding images here!
This weekend I was able to see some of the effects of Hurricane Irene firsthand in Maryland. Huge trees were completely uprooted and fallen over on the ground. Here are a couple shots of the bigger ones we saw…
While normally I would have preferred to sleep in on a holiday, this morning’s sunrise made getting up early worth it! We drove to Solomon’s Island just in time to beat the rain and were able to get set up right before the sky lit up with color. After the sunrise shoot, we went back to the house where I took a nap ;) and then woke up later to Amy’s delicious apple crisp! We went shooting again and visited a small roadside shop with beautiful flowers and handmade birdhouses. Fields of barley and more barns followed before it was time to head back to the city! Looking forward to St. Mary’s County Fair in a few weeks!
